Provide Charities

The most enjoyable aspect of running a family business, is being able to support the local community and as a company, we are proud to have partnered with two fantastic Reading-based charities

Dingley’s Promise believe that all children should have the same opportunities.

Their vision is the best start for every child and so they deliver life-changing support to children under 5 years with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across Berkshire. The children they support all have a global development delay and some have physical disabilities, speech delays and even life limiting conditions. Children do not need a diagnosis to access our support.

Their outreach support services ensure that all families of children with SEND have signposting and support to access the services they need for their child and emotional support to ensure that they never feel alone.

As well as providing vital support in its nursery settings, Dingley’s Promise has also developed a training programme to help Early Years Practitioners to feel confident in supporting children with additional needs, and support which enables mainstream settings to work more inclusively.

52 Lives which change someone's life every week of the year.

Their aim is to inspire people to be kind. They believe kindness has the power to change lives and change the world, while improving our own well-being at the same time. Visit 52 Lives website.

Warm clothes for refugees

Warm clothes for refugees

We provided warm clothes for refugees who have been housed temporarily in London and Berkshire. Most of them are living in extreme poverty, with no access to public funds and unable to work yet.

Shoes for homeless children

Shoes for homeless children

Working with another charity in London, we provided funding so 200 children could visit Clarks and have their feet properly measured for the first time, and walk away in comfy shoes. The children all live in temporary accommodation and are in extreme poverty, so this made a massive difference to them.

Christmas gifts for women and children living in refuges

Christmas gifts for women and children living in refuges

We provided Christmas presents for dozens of women and children who had to stay in women’s refuges during the Christmas period, after fleeing domestic violence. Wherever possible, we provided gifts that they had specifically asked for.
